Ulthera®

Ultherapy is a unique, non-invasive lifting treatment resulting in a visible firming of the skin on the neck, chin and cheeks without surgery and downtime. It is also used to lift upper eyelids for a more youthful look. Newest indications for Ultherapy are the treatment of puffy eyes, eye bags, periocular rejuvenation in general as well as the treatment of superficial wrinkles especially around the mouth.

The technology used for this treatment is approved by the FDA and uses highly focused ultrasound to target the deep connective tissue in the body. The scientifically proven lifting effect is normally only achieved with a surgical facelift. The treatment stimulates the body’s own regenerative processes to grow collagen and elastin without damaging the surface of the skin. It takes about two to three months after the treatment for the skin to look fresh and more youthful, and the treated areas continue to firm up and strengthen for up to six months.

Treatment

An anaesthetising cream is applied at the beginning of the treatment. Ultherapy takes about 30 to 90 minutes. Just as with the other ultrasound treatments, the ultrasound head is moved over the treatment area, which is monitored via visual imaging. Some patients feel a minor warming under the skin. The heat stimulates the skin to grow collagen and thus slow down the aging process. Following the treatment a temporary redness of the skin is possible, but this should disappear within a few hours. Special aftercare is not necessary; you can immediately resume your usual activities.

Treatment Information:

Preparation: Application of an anesthetising cream ca. 1 – 11/2 hours prior to the treatment

Treatment: The ultrasound head hand piece is moved over the areas to be treated, which are continually monitored via visual imaging (sonography). Depending on the treatment area, the ultrasound is applied twice during the session to target tissue at differing depths within the skin. Different applicators are used with a penetration depth between 1 to 4,5 mm.

Side-Effects: Minimal heat development in the skin, tingling or stinging sensation, reddening of the skin for a few hours after the treatment

Duration: 30 – 90 Minutes

Aftercare: Usually no downtime and activity can be resumed immediately

Behandlungsinfo:
